Ana Locking has developed an exclusive art project for the Los Doscientos art club, an initiative that promotes selective, non-speculative collecting through personalized editions. In this context, both books and artworks are individually produced, making each copy a unique work destined for one of its two hundred members. The project thus fosters synergies among diverse individuals who share a common interest in contemporary art, reinforcing the intimate and reflective dimension of collecting. The conceptual axis that runs through all of Ana Locking’s collections is storytelling: the desire to tell stories and invite viewers to experience them not only aesthetically, but also performatively and sensorially. Based on this premise, the project adopts an olfactory dimension, exploring perfume as a narrative vehicle and as an invisible extension of the artwork. To this end, ten creators from different cultural fields—figures admired for their sensitivity and careers—were invited to write a free-form narrative. From each text, a unique handcrafted perfume was developed, conceived as an olfactory translation of the conceptual and emotional essence of each story. Each fragrance is presented in a limited and numbered edition of 20 units, reinforcing its exclusive and collectible nature. The stories have been compiled in a publication that also includes original charcoal drawings created by the designer herself for each text. These illustrations have resulted in a graphic edition, also limited to 20 copies, completing a multidisciplinary project where literature, visual art, and olfactory creation converse to construct a complete artistic experience.

It has been an honor to collaborate with these ten talented creators, whom we greatly admire, and whose stories served as the inspiration for these ten unique, handcrafted perfumes, created exclusively for this project.

Complex and profound perfumes, with noble essences that blend with synthetic ones to achieve a wide range of different olfactory notes. These notes are balanced to transport us to each story through an olfactory journey that lends a three-dimensional quality to the narrative itself.
