Pedro Almodóvar & Jorge Galindo
Flores
Pedro Almodóvar and Jorge Galindo collaborated on the exhibition ‘Flores’ (Tabacalera de Madrid 2019-2020). Based on the filmmaker’s still life photographs, the two artists created more than forty large-format works in which flowers become the central motif and colour takes centre stage in the pictorial gesture.
Some of these pieces incorporate vases from Ana Locking’s ‘Amphora’ collection, integrating contemporary ceramic design as a sculptural element that dialogues with painting and photography. The result is a project that fuses cinema, art and design, transforming each work into a unique visual and sensory experience.
