Shoe Collection - Ana Locking x Gadea
Preachers &
Believers
Developed in collaboration with Gadea, this footwear collection is part of the conceptual universe of “Preachers and Believers,” a collection that reflects ironically on the relationship between power, faith, and leadership in contemporary society.
Inspired by a context where the social, religious, and political seem to intertwine in the same emotional territory, the collection is based on two symbolic archetypes: preachers, builders of narratives of authority and promise, and believers, who place their need for guidance and belonging in these discourses.
The silhouettes of the footwear convey this conceptual duality through a balance between structure and exuberance. Precise and elegant shapes coexist with more dynamic compositions, where the superimposition of materials, chromatic contrasts, and shiny finishes generate a rich and expressive aesthetic.
Metal studs, reinterpreted fringes, and luminous surfaces introduce a visual language that oscillates between the ceremonial and the contemporary, reflecting the constant tension between symbolic authority and individual desire that runs through the entire collection.
